TASTE of WORK - update - new TASTEs at the Edge

The new TASTE of WORK scheme is halfway through, and to date 42 students have been offered a TASTE of WORK, ie a short, bitesized work experience opportunity with a real live employer.  Feedback has been very positive with everyone stating that they would recommend TASTE of WORK to a friend.  A few constructive criticisms have also been received mainly to do with the length of the placement and we will hope to address these if TASTE of WORK continues in the future.

TASTE of WORK has grown over the last 4 weeks and we now hope to offer 17 TASTEs each week, as several new departments have come on board since the project started in early February.

NEW TASTES just confirmed - We are now looking for students who are interested in undertaking a TASTE of WORK at The Edge, Endcliffe Village - we can offer TASTEs in Hospitality, working in the Edge Cafe from 5.00-8.00pm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays and we still have a few opportunities in Domestic Services (room cleaning and preparation) on Tuesdays 9.30-12.30am.  If you are interested in and available for any of these, starting week commencing 21 March until week commencing 4 April please drop us an email (tasteofwork@sheffield.ac.uk) with details of your availability and the TASTEs that are of interest to you.

We can't guarantee to match everyone who applies to a TASTE of WORK but we hope that nearly 100 students will have had a TASTE by the time the Easter vacation starts.
