Interviews and Assessment Centres

Being invited to an interview or an assessment centre by an organisation may seem a scary prospect, but it means you’ve been successful with your application so far. On paper you appear to have what they’re looking for and they would like to find out more about you. However, if you’re feeling unprepared, why not come along to one of our talks or workshops?

  • We are running a lunchtime talk on ‘Interviews’ tomorrow at 1pm, Hicks Building, lecture theatre A. No need to sign up in advance, just turn up and find a seat!

  • There’s also a talk on ‘Assessment Centres’ on Thursday 3rd November at 1pm. Again, you don’t need to book in advance for this, just turn up at the Hicks Building, lecture theatre A.

  • If you’re an international student then watch out for our ‘Interview workshop for International Students’ on the 1st December. Details of the workshop, including how and when you can sign up, can be found on our What’s On Diary.

  • We have facilities online for those of you who find it difficult to attend our talks in person. View our online talks on interviews and assessment centres, via the Careers Service website: http://www.shef.ac.uk/careers/students/gettingajob/appstalks
