Welcome to all our new students!

On this rainy Friday morning we're really hoping that the weather hasn't dampened your feelings about Sheffield yet. Whether you're a new international student from China or a local student from South Yorkshire, we really hope that you've had a great time at the University so far.

For most of you Intro Week will have been a bit of a whirlwind. No doubt you've been given more information and leaflets than you've ever had in your life! There's so much that you can get involved in whilst you're here at the University of Sheffield; so much that will help you to develop the skills that graduate employers will expect from you in a few years time.

You may have already heard about some of things that the Careers Service offers, such as the Skills for Work Certificate or the Sheffield Graduate Award. But when you're new to the city, we know that it can be confusing and really difficult to know where you need to go to find out more! That's why we've organised walking tours of key locations this afternoon from 1pm - 3pm. See the Students' Union website for more information: Your Future Tours and Free Afternoon Tea

So put on a raincoat, bring an umbrella and we'll see you for a cuppa this afternoon!
