'Highly Commended' national award for University of Sheffield student



Congratulations to Zahra Zahid on your national ‘Highly Commended’ Student Employee of the Year Award 2015. On Thursday 2nd July three students from The University of Sheffield; Zahra Zahid, Adam Millar and Petru Tarabuta awaited the final results of who would be crowned the national Student Employee of the Year 2015. These awards aim to recognise and promote the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who combine part-time work with their study commitments.



The awards dinner was held at the Atlantic Thistle hotel in Liverpool.

The overall national winner was announced with a student from Durham University clinching the title.


Zahra Zahid received a ‘Highly Commended’ national award for her part time work as a Biology Tutor at Oak Tree High School. 

Petra Tarabuta won the North East Regional Off Campus Step Up to Leadership award for his work at National Instruments. 

Adam Millar won the North East Regional On Campus Step Up to Leadership award for his work at Coffee Revolution in the Students’ Union.



Amy Gray The University of Sheffield Student Jobshop Coordinator attended the awards with our students.
