Career Management Skills Module – A blueprint for your future?

Are you…
a current first year student struggling to decide
what to do with your future?

Or do you…
know where you want to go, but not how to get there?

If so…
the Career Management Skills (CAS201) module may be for you.

A 20 credit elective for second years, available to take in autumn or spring, the module focuses on understanding and increasing your own employability. We will provide you with an insight into the graduate labour market, as well as an increased awareness of your own skills, values and personality type, which has helped many of our past students clarify their future career goals.

We will also highlight opportunities for you to gain experience through internships, part-time jobs, extra-curricular activities and volunteering, all of which are highly valued by graduate employers.

Finally, we will provide information on practical topics such as CV writing, applications, interviews and assessment centres to put you in a strong position to compete in a competitive graduate market.

If you want to benefit from the above, choose the CAS201 module on the online registration system: https://www.shef.ac.uk/module-choice

Or through Module Add/Drop if you are a late applicant:

If you have any questions in the meantime, we would be happy to hear from you: careerskills@sheffield.ac.uk

We hope to see you next year!
